Downton Abbey’s Furniture and Set Designs

I just picked up the January/February issue of Victoria Magazine which got my attention because of the cover article “Meet the Costume Designers of Downton Abbey”. While I drool over the costume wardrobe, I find myself drawn to the sets and furnishings of country estate and the amazing way they set up the indoor scenes and the lovely furnishings in the room vignettes. The damasks and velvets on the furniture are just the epitome of comfort and elegance.

This picture of the red velvet sofa is one of my absolute favorite pieces, but there are scads of others too.. Coro sewing on the pale pink sofa in the drawing room…Hope I am not breaking any copy right laws posting it here, but have seen them posted on other sights so I can not resist… so beautiful.
