Embroidery – dainty and heirloom florals for Spring

Well, the Spring is here but today is really the first day that I can say actually feels like Spring.  I have been busy at work and with the embroidery and planning for my upcoming workshops.  I will be starting a new hand embroidery design that I found on Mary Corbet’s Needle N Thread web site.  Her site is a marvel to me!  My husband is hiding the credit card as we speak….I just love the on-line tutorials and she posts her progress stepping you through each project.  Her site has a large assortment of printable designs so you don’t have to purchase an expensive kit to get started.  Just copy one of these designs on a piece of fabric and go crazy getting a nice assortment of embroidery floss – the better the floss the nicer your results will be so don’t skimp!  You will be amazed that you can achieve lovely results with just some basic stitches and then your on your way embellishing and trying new, harder stitches.  It’s just fun – and a very relaxing and creative outlet in our busy and hectic lives.

Carry on – sewing for history!
