Embroiderers’ Guild of America — Needle Arts Guild of Historic Hudson Valley Chapter

I am looking for Mid-Hudson Valley needle art and sewing enthusiasts who would be interested in joining a newly established Chapter of the Metropolitan Region of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America.  Members of this nationally recognized organization would participate in monthly meetings and projects, workshops and lectures at the Chapter, Regional and National levels.

The EGA has many resources for it’s members: events, training, and workshops as well as on-line courses.  Each Chapter also reaches out to the community.  I would like to offer embroidery workshops to the public and make embroidered bibs for the newborns in area hospitals and more.  Coming together to hone our skills and meet others who share our passion for stitching, we could establish a much needed Chapter in Beacon – (the closest EGA Chapter is in Goshen).  Membership also includes the quarterly Needle Arts magazine.  If you live in the Mid-Hudson Valley (Dutchess/Putnam/Orange) and think you would like to join us, please e-mail: needleartsguildhhv@gmail.com
