Sewing School in the Hudson Valley Needs Your Vote for Grant Funding

I have applied for a grant! When I started this blog my goal was to teach sewing and hand embroidery (for a living), and indeed I have given many, many classes – held summer sewing camps and have done countless hand embroidery workshops in the Hudson Valley. The blog evolved into a marketing site to sell Pottery Barn slipcovers because I could actually make money doing that.

Now I find that my original dream of teaching – having other sewing instructors join me – and having a work space to do that from will not be possible without some actual grant funding. I need capital to establish an actual home for the Needle Arts Guild of Historic Hudson Valley. So, I’ve decided to apply for Chase’s Mission Main Street Grant. If I receive grant funding, I will finally be able to realize my dream of opening a real sewing instruction work space as well as operate a sew & vac type retail store!

I have completed the grant application process, but am required to obtain at least 250 votes to be considered!  So, please go to the link and vote for Needle Arts Guild of Historic Hudson Valley.

And please forward this to all your friends so can obtain the necessary votes before the application dead line. Thank you.
